Born into the Hospitality and Entertainment industry, in 1985 our parents gave me and my brother the opportunity to DJ in our Bistro from 9pm—1am every Friday and Saturday nights, instead of hiring a mobile DJ. It was a fantastic way to hone our skills and to read the crowd to make sure they enjoyed themselves. We did this together for two years. In 1987 the family business was sold, and I secured a role at the then prestigious Hilton Hotel in East Melbourne. I also DJ’d at the famous Juliana’s Night Club and the Studio Night Club. From 1996-2000 I DJ’d at the following venues: Dorset Gardens Fortunes NC over 28’s, Mitcham Hotel Night Club, The Bumper Bar Night Club and Kilkenny Inn Hotel in Kings Street, Melbourne. I have also serviced the local community performing for school formals, graduations, and regular family events.
In 2000 we had an opportunity to go to W.A. for a couple of years and, during this time, I was able to Graduate from the Academy of Radio and worked on Community Radio Heritage FM 93.7. During our time in Perth, I was resident DJ at September’s night club and La Bog INN Irish Bar, Fremantle and North Bridge.
When we came back to Melbourne in 2002, I was back at the Dorset Gardens over 28’s and NYE 2008 I was asked to fill in and as they say the rest is History. I have been the resident Friday night DJ for the last 12 years! Other gigs performed during this time: Narre Warren Shakers Night Club, Sunbury Stairs Night Club, and I’m currently DJ’ing at Piano Bar Sunbury with DJ BRAD Gen Y party nights.
I joined 94.1FM 3WBC in 2016 and I have presented ‘Circus Sunday’ and shows called ‘Blue brothers’, ‘Time warp’ and I’m currently a host of ‘Saturday Night Party’ – 10-12am (monthly). I believe my secret formula works and keeps me doing what I love, this is what drives me to be the best I can. My family background has given me an edge to be successful in whatever I do and my understanding of the Hospitality and Entertainment Industry inside out, makes it all come naturally and people tell me I am a collaborator. I have also worked with bands such as Crush, Neon City, Dirty Deeds AC/DC and Men of Leisure, just to name a few.
