Music Overnight from 3WBC

Every Wednesday from 7am, Greg King hosts this lively mix of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s classic hits and entertainment news. Greg interviews musicians, guest presenters and playwrights. The show also celebrates birthdays of musicians and features music from our Featured Flashback Year, #1 hits, classic albums and new music. The program also features a weekly film review from reviewer Nick Gardener; and during the football season there is an in-depth analysis of each game with our football experts “the President of Aisle 9” and “Nick From The Outer.” All of their interviews can be found on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/daveroyandrossy

Wednesday Brunch is a program designed to inform and entertain. The program consists of local and national news, views and opinions with selected music from the 60s to the 90s.

Jazz For Lunch seeks to maintain the tradition set by Max Chadwick and Peter Edwards, and more recently Terry Phibbs, to provide listenable and enjoyable jazz for this prime time slot. The music, which frequently highlights our world class Australian jazz, includes the New Orleans, Dixieland, Big Band Swing, Be Bop, Cool, Hard Bop and Jazz Fusion periods, showing influences of Latin, Classical and Pop / Rock. A little history and background is thrown in and the aim is always to entertain and lift the spirits while appealing to listeners from the jazz world as well as a wider audience. Accordingly, some areas of jazz that would appeal to aficionados are not suitable for this program.
