Paul Stevens shows
Having a previous stint at community radio from 2001-2003, Paul’s background is sport having field umpired the VFL/AFL U’19s and reserves competitions from 1986-1990. From his contacts through umpiring, Paul became a co-presenter on the Puma Sports Show on Stereo 974 under the leadership of the legendary Melbourne sporting identity John Forbes
Fast forward 20 years and Paul stumbled across 3WBC while visiting the Box Hill Town Hall and was lucky enough to be offered a Saturday night spot for a music show and in December 2022 Nightwaves was born
Paul very much enjoyed the challenge of putting together a music show that appealed to his generation firstly and more importantly, could play the music he grew up with that was largely ignored by commercial radio – or commercial radio were simply playing the wrong songs from the era
Paul Stevens presents Nightwaves – a nostalgic music program “playing the hits we all grew up with” at 7pm every Saturday
